Event Description:

The Game Change Conference is a collaborative professional development conference that began as a part of the 2014 Gay Games 9 held in Cleveland and Akron. Its purpose is to empower an inclusive community by offering dynamic workshops, lectures, and networking to professionals including community leaders, workplace professionals, social workers, educators, health care providers and students. The conference reflects the changing landscape of our professions as we learn to work with and understand challenges within LGBTQ communities. National Association of Social Workers CEUs available.

Plexus is sponsoring a networking component in conjunction with the conference with Elyzabeth Holford, Executive Director of Equality Ohio after her keynote luncheon address.

The 2015 Game Change conference is a collaborative product of Community AIDS Network/Akron Pride Initiative (CANAPI), Gay Community Endowment Fund of Akron Community Foundation (GCEF), Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network of Northeast Ohio (GLSEN NEO), Jewish Family Service (JFS), the Akron Chapter of PFLAG, Plexus LGBT & Allied Chamber of Commerce and the University of Akron's LGBT Union.
