About Our Speaker - Amanda Kostura (she/they)
Sustainable Impact: Managing the Emotional Weight of Business & Advocacy
In our current professional landscape, "pushing through" is often mistaken for resilience. For LGBTQ+ and Allied professionals, the daily hustle is often layered with the "Representative Stress" of being an advocate and a safe space for others. Join Amanda Kostura, LISW-S, for a high-impact, 15-minute exploration of the neurobiology of stress and professional longevity. We’ll move beyond superficial self-care to discuss how to shift your brain from "survival mode" back into a state of focus and fulfillment. You’ll leave with realistic, multi-dimensional tools to manage your energy, protect your well-being, and ensure that as you pursue professional excellence, you remember to take yourself with you.

Amanda is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Minor in Child and Family Development and a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Akron. She founded Carve Your Own Path with the intention of providing more human-centered care from well-supported and cared for providers.
