Thomas Hawn Awarded the Inaugural Workplace Inclusion Award

On Wednesday,October 12, Thomas Hawn who is a founding board member of Plexus and the current President of the Plexus Foundation was honored as a part of the 2016 Heritage Day Celebration at Cleveland City Hall.  Thomas was the recipient of the inaugural Workplace Inclusion Award.

The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Heritage Day is an awards ceremony that honors and celebrates LGBTQ+ individuals who have an ongoing commitment to the Greater Northeast Ohio LGBT community.

As “out” LGBTQ+ community members, they have made significant contributions in the areas of Workplace Inclusion, Advocacy & Activism, Health & Wellness, Service, and/or Arts & Culture in and around Northeast Ohio. The ceremony is held annually during the second week in October to coincide with National LGBT History Month and Coming Out Day. 

The 2016 Heritage Day Awardees are as follows:
  • Workplace Inclusion:  Thomas Hawn
  • Health and Wellness: Richard Snarsky
  • Public Service: Beth Little
  • Advocacy and Activism: Vania Sherepita
  • Arts and Culture: Darius Stubbs
