ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT PHILOSOPHY AND MISSION STATEMENT

The goal of the intercollegiate athletic program at Ursuline College is to promote the total development of the student-athlete through academic excellence and participation in athletics. We stress learning through a challenging academic program and values-based, high-level athletic competition as a means to develop the intellectual, personal, physical and moral potential of the person.

Student-athletes are given the opportunity to reach their full academic and athletic potential by achieving a balance between the two that will lead to earning a degree and development of lifelong skills. An integral aspect of Ursuline's athletic program is its commitment to service within our surrounding communities.
